A Dog's Life

Compared to that of our greatest admirers, a human's life is very long. A life with dogs is necessarily a life with a cast of many friends. In their short time, they each give us a few years of their own style of devotion, then leave us with the challenge of redefining what a dog really is, and what we really know about them. An old dog's eye says this: "If you think I was something, wait till you see what comes next."
