When I visited it in November Har Us Lake was frozen solid, desolate, and so quiet that the only sound was of the ice cracking. This slideshow is built around audio captured by laying my recorder on the frozen surface. It is layered and filtered to pick up four frequencies, from high pitch to low, that are then blended back with the original sound of cracking ice.
